The Winery Kyoto opened its doors in February 2022. It’s located on the traditional Sanjodori street where modern boutiques and cafes are lined along with centuries old merchants.

The Kyoto store is based on the same store concept as our main store in New York - “We sell the wines that we like to drink.” The store carries a meticulous selection of artisanal wines of some 250 wines from all over the world. 

We are specializing in artisanal wines that are meticulously selected by the buyer certified as WSET diploma considering their quality and terroir, not marketing hype or reputation.

Our evaluation process also ensures that each wine not only tastes great, but has the right price, regardless of the producer’s or appellation’s reputation.

The store, finished entirely in our corporate color of black, was renovated to respect the original traditional machiya style residential house of Kyoto.

The Winery Kyoto is English-speaking friendly. For each wine displayed on our shelves, you will find a description card in both Japanese and English. In the web store, language selection is available with just a click of button at the top of page.

The Winery is a community base store. We love to help to make the community better place to live and work. The Winery has committed to support local communities and non-profit charity organizations in the area of education and arts.
