Description:
The wind of the Canaries blows
When you go to the vineyard at an elevation of 650 meters, located in the northwest of Tenerife, the largest island of the Canary Islands and the world’s third-largest volcanic island, you find yourself in the middle of a valley where winds so strong they could blow you away are constantly blowing. The producer says that the winds coming from the sea, bringing moisture and coolness, are absolutely essential.
The wine, overflowing with transparency, offers aromas of ripe red fruits, tobacco, pomegranate, and violet, followed by exquisite smoky notes imbued with the blessings of the volcano. Silky tannins, beautiful acidity, and an elegant, lingering finish continue for a long time. This was the bottle that moved me the most when I visited the Canary Islands.
