Laurent Malle, a Malbec specialist, started making wine with his wife and close friends in his hometown of Cahors after working as the head sommelier at a number of famous restaurants. As one would expect from a former sommelier who has also considered food pairings, the result is a wine with a complexity that goes beyond the richness of Cahors' "black wine".

In addition to plums, cherries, and other fruits, there are earthy and smoky nuances, and the tannins, which are soft and moist in the mouth and felt on the tongue, are elegant.
