No wonder wine magazines compare their wines to Burgundy Grands Crus and describe them as "Coche Durie-like" (a very great Burgundy producer).

This variety, called Gut Edel in southern Germany, is widely known in Switzerland as Chasselas for its clean white wines, but the taste betrays a good meaning. Acidity, minerality, and savory notes come together to create a dignified, lingering finish.
